: I try hard not to lie, but I try even harder to stay away from my older sister who totally enjoys it. My siblings, her husband and children, all of our relatives haven't believed anything that has come out of her mouth in 20 years. It is a big game with her, how many lies, how hurtful can the lies be, and how many people can she hurt, that is what she is after. Needless to say, no one ever wants to be around her, attend any of her family functions etc. According to my sister, she is 8 PHD's, (she has 0) is on the staff for President Bush (trust me he would run from her), a member of the FBI (LOL), and to top it off, get this a missionary.

I can not really come up with a name but I have a friend that does the same thing. she lies about every thing, I hate it, but I think that i realise why she does it. she always has to get the most attention in any group gathering by acting cocky and liying about things like her job, always going around giving her self more credit then she is worth by lying. when I told her that I went back to school to get my GED and that the test was kinda of hard for me, the next month she told me that she got her GED and that she thought the test was a breeze. come to find out her mother told me she never went to take the test and never got her GED. and now that I attend college, she lied and told me she got a district manager position with a new company, and come to find out she is only the a store manager, she said that she was so smart that she did not need to go to college to get a high paying job like that, she was so smart she could get it with just her GED. well, she does not have niether her GED or the job, lies all lies. so, I think that people lie because they feel so inadequate about there own lives. Obviously she cant stand to feel inferior to any of her friends cause we all share what lies she has told to every body when she is not around. when any body has confronted her she will be quiet for a second and change the subject reel quick or she will get madd and say that that person is trying to start trouble.so that is the only reason I have come up with.she just must notlove her self, all though she is very stuck on her self.
