Dear Sassy,
Your son's "play therapist" is reading far too much into your six year old son's admission, in my opinion. As for having your son diagnosed properly, you need to seek assistance from a qualified special education professional. Someone who can test your son's readiness for learning, his mental and social ability levels. He certainly is a bit too precocious as far as touchy subjects go!
