I was actually curious about the person who wrote that God said they must not be allowed to eat from the fruit of knowledge or they will become one of "us." I've just never seen that and it seemed a little odd to me. Of course there is a lot of odd stuff in the bible. I quit reading it in highschool when I got to this part where one of the only four humans on the planet walks away and finds a wife somewhere else -- that seemed a little weird.
: If you study the history of religion, you'll see that Wicca and other pagan religions existed before Christianity. The Bible is just one view of how humanity came to be and who the Divine One is.
: There are a lot of misconceptions about Wicca. If you really give half a damn about finding out more, there are many great books you can read on the subject. My favorite so far has been Witchcraft from the Inside, by Raymond Buckland. In the first 4 or 5 chapters, it describes the beginnings of magick and religious ritual. It also talks about the beginnings of Christianity in a very eye-opening way.

And I am certain my explaination of "why does bad things happen to us?" is far better and makes more sense than "God" is just testing our fate.
