AFFECTION

This is what I said to my ex-boyfriend but if I had communicated this to him when it mattered, it wouldn't have been a lie. The trouble is that this was said after I had already found someone else who showed me real affection. At that point, I was just looking for an excuse to end the relationship without admitting I had cheated. Then again, some people just aren't compatible and "being affectionate" is a personality trait. You either are or you aren't. If I had brought this to his attention
