An electrician whom I called to repair wiring in my home, expressed an interest in me and began to visit me regularly. We began to exchange kisses on the couch and he said he was crazy about me and even mentioned the "L"   word. (A bit too soon, I might add.)  He was a really nice fella, but had more stories than the public library.  He told me the best lie I have ever heard in all my 46 years on this planet.

I saw him one afternoon in my "single mom" next door neighbors backyard squeezing cheeks and biting lips, with his car in her driveway the entire weekend.

When he came to see me that following Monday, I told him what I had the misfortune of seeing, and he says to me: "Are you sure it was me?  It must have been her brother, he and I look a lot alike.  I know her father from the electricians union, and he told me she was having a bar-b-que for her daughter's graduation that weekend and her brother was going to be there."  I then asked him if they drive the same car and share the same license plate?  He said it wasn't his car in her driveway and the story continued to grow and grow.

I asked him for a library card!

It is really sad to watch a grown man lie when he knows you know he is a liar.
